Hi,
just installed the demo of Roadshow on the following Hardware/Software:
Amiga 600
Furia EC020 Extension Card
a604n memory Expension
Kickstart 3.1
Workbench 3.1
plipbox nano for connectivity
So for every command installed by the Roadshow Installer I get the following error:
e.g. ping:
ping: file is not executable
if i call protect ping +se the following happens:
ping 8.8.8.8
CD: unable to open redirection file
CD failed returncode 10
Any advice?

| jbrandstetter hat folgendes geschrieben | | if i call protect ping +se the following happens: | If ping is an executable binary (I think so) then don't set the s (script) bit. Use +rwed instead. If the error still happens you can start SnoopDOS first to see whats going wrong.

More important is to check what is the cause of the missing/wrong protection bits and the reason for it. Do have the files of the Roadshow archive the correct bits set or not? If yes is the unpack tool responsible or the used filesystem (e.g. FAT)? It's good to know to prevent future trouble.
